COFCO International appoints Jing Wu as new CFO
COFCO International has appointed Jing Wu as its new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
GENEVA, Switzerland – COFCO International, a leading agriculture supply chain company, has appointed Jing Wu as its new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
“With the integration of Nidera and COFCO Agri coming to completion, now was the right time to activate our CFO succession plan,” said Johnny Chi, Chief Executive Officer of COFCO International. “Jing’s experience in commodities, risk management and banking, both in the Western and Eastern hemispheres, will be instrumental in helping COFCO International become one of the world’s top agriculture supply companies while making the full use of COFCO's unique position in China.”
Jing Wu joined COFCO International in 2016 as Chief Risk Officer from Deutsche Bank where he held the position of Head of Market Risk Management, Commodities and FX in London. Previously Jing held risk management positions at companies including JP Morgan, Nomura and BP based in London and the United States. Mr. Wu, CFA, has an MBA from Ohio State University.
Tim Lodge, who had led COFCO International through its integration, will by mutual agreement retire from his position and hand over responsibilities to Mr. Wu. “I would like to personally thank Tim Lodge, also on behalf of management for his contributions and relentless efforts over the past 18 months in our group”, Mr. Chi added.
