COFCO International appoints Gonzalo Ramirez Martiarena to its Board of Directors
GENEVA – COFCO International today announced the appointment of Gonzalo Ramirez Martiarena to its Board of Directors as non-executive director. His appointment is effective immediately. Ramirez succeeds Serge Schoen, who served on the board for six years.
Ramirez was CEO of Louis Dreyfus Company until 2018 and started his career at Nidera, later acquired by COFCO International, in Argentina. He is currently CEO of an investment firm he founded in 2020 with a focus on sustainable food and agriculture production startups.
He will also be chairman of the COFCO International risk, control and compliance committee, and member of the nomination and remuneration committee.
